The Orbit ™ 7120-2D scanner combines omnidirectional laser scanning with image-based scanning in a breakthrough hybrid technology to provide a barcode reading platform ideal for efficient cash registers. Like other Orbit scanners, it not only has an excellent first-pass pass rate for 1D barcodes of goods, but also helps retailers cope with the growing demand for digital barcode reading without the need for additional scanners.

Building on many of the benefits of the best-selling desktop Orbit scanner, the Orbit 7120-2D scanner is an innovative, aesthetically pleasing, affordable solution ideal for convenience stores where counter space is at a premium. Its award-winning design also supports handheld operation, making it easy to scan large and bulky items. For added flexibility, the scan head can be tilted over a range of 30° to accommodate objects of all sizes and shapes.

The product seamlessly switches between work modes, allowing both the cashier to scan the item barcode and read the digital barcode on the customer's smartphone. With the dual-mode design, the scanner is automatically optimized for both applications, while eliminating customer concerns about laser and LED illumination.

As a plug-and-play scanner, it fits easily into existing POS systems. Equipped with a variety of on-board interfaces, compatible with most POS systems, and with automatic interface detection, the corresponding interface can be automatically configured when connecting, eliminating the need to scan programming code. It can be powered directly from USB, eliminating the need for additional power supply and cabling, greatly simplifying system integration.
