LaneHawk™ LH5000 solution
The LaneHawk™LH5000 is a loss prevention solution that detects the goods at the bottom of the shopping basket in real time and turns them into profits. The system detects and identifies the goods and puts them in the shopping list to ensure that the goods at the bottom of the shopping basket are effectively identified and paid.
Like its predecessor, the LH5000 features advanced Visual Pattern Recognition (ViPR) software, plus new support for 1D barcodes and Digimarc digital watermarked barcodes, which can eliminate up to 90% of losses due to items at the bottom of the cart. Unlike any other basket bottom loss prevention system, the LaneHawk system integrates into the retailer's POS system, creating a powerful solution that quickly and efficiently increases store profits in real time. The LH5000 system detects and identifies products passing through the camera and sends its product information directly to the POS system. Before checkout, the cashier verifies that the items at the bottom of the basket have been added to the shopping list and completes the transaction.
